Management of renowned gospel musician Esther Smith has strongly refuted claims circulating on social media that Pastor Elvis Agyemang, founder of Alpha Hour, demanded or received money in exchange for prayers offered on behalf of the veteran singer.
In an official statement released to address the growing speculation, Esther Smith’s management described the allegations as false, misleading, and a gross misrepresentation of facts, urging the public to treat the reports with the contempt they deserve.

“No Money Was Requested or Charged” – Management Clarifies
According to the statement, engagements between Esther Smith’s team, Pastor Elvis Agyemang, and the Alpha Hour ministry were conducted in an atmosphere of mutual respect, dignity, and sincere pastoral concern.
“At no point during our interaction was any amount requested, demanded, or charged for prayers,” the management emphasized, directly countering the claims making the rounds on digital platforms.
They further explained that the support extended to Esther Smith during the engagement was rooted in Christian service and compassion, not financial considerations.
Professionalism and Security Highlighted
The statement also noted that throughout the engagement, Esther Smith and her team were provided with adequate security and logistical support, adding that the entire process was handled with a high level of professionalism.

“All interactions were conducted with integrity and respect for ethical standards,” the statement said, dismissing any insinuation of impropriety.
Defence of Pastor Elvis Agyemang’s Reputation
In defending Pastor Elvis Agyemang, the management described him as a religious leader who has consistently demonstrated character, accountability, and transparency in his ministry.
They stressed that portrayals suggesting he exploits prayer for financial gain are untrue and unfair, and do not reflect the values he has upheld through Alpha Hour.
Call for Calm and Responsible Media Practice
Esther Smith’s management appealed to the public, the Alpha Hour community, and fans of the gospel icon to ignore speculation, sensational headlines, and social media misinformation surrounding the issue.
They also issued a strong reminder to media practitioners, bloggers, and content creators to verify information before publishing, warning that reckless reporting can harm reputations and undermine public trust.
“Responsible journalism demands accuracy, balance, and fairness,” the statement concluded, calling for restraint in the face of viral but unverified claims.
