Jukwa: On Saturday, January 3, Jukwa Watreso CHPS organized a complimentary health screening exercise for members of the Jukwa Watreso community as part of activities marking the annual Christmas and New Year celebrations.

The initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the facility’s nursing staff, youth groups, and community volunteers, and served as a practical demonstration of the facility’s commitment to community-centered healthcare delivery.
Strengthening Community Engagement Through Preventive Care
The free health screening attracted significant participation from community members, reflecting a high level of interest in preventive healthcare services. Residents were screened for key health indicators, allowing early identification of potential health concerns and providing an opportunity for health education and counselling.
The exercise showcased the strong partnership between Jukwa Watreso CHPS and the community, with youth volunteers playing an active role in mobilization and logistics, while nursing staff ensured professional and quality service delivery.

Corporate Social Responsibility in Action
As part of the community’s festive activities, Jukwa Watreso CHPS embraced its corporate social responsibility by bringing essential health services closer to the people at no cost. This approach not only reduced financial barriers to care but also reinforced the importance of regular health checks, especially during periods of celebration when health risks may be overlooked.
The success of the exercise was further strengthened by the dedication and teamwork of the nursing staff, who provided services with professionalism and compassion throughout the event.
Appreciation and Acknowledgement
Management of Jukwa Watreso CHPS extends sincere appreciation to all community members who participated in the screening exercise. Special recognition is also given to the youth groups, community volunteers, and generous sponsors whose support contributed to the smooth organization and success of the programme.
Above all, commendation is extended to the nursing team for their commitment, expertise, and tireless service in ensuring the health and well-being of the community.

Commitment to Community Health
Jukwa Watreso CHPS remains committed to promoting preventive healthcare, community engagement, and accessible services. The facility looks forward to organizing similar outreach activities in the future to further strengthen health awareness and improve health outcomes within the community.
Together, through collaboration and shared responsibility, a healthier Jukwa Watreso community can be achieved.
