The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) has officially opened applications for the 2026/2027 academic year, inviting qualified applicants to apply for its wide range of undergraduate programmes across its campuses in Ho and Hohoe.
University of Health and Allied Sciences
General Entry Requirements (Undergraduate)
A. WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants
Applicants must have:
- Credit passes (A1–C6 / A–D) in:
- English Language
- Core Mathematics
- Integrated Science
- Social Studies (mandatory but not counted in aggregate)
- Plus three (3) relevant elective subjects for the chosen programme
B. GCE A-Level Applicants
- Five (5) credits at Ordinary Level, including English and Mathematics
- Plus three (3) relevant subjects at Advanced Level
C. IGCSE Applicants
- Minimum Grade 4 (C) in all relevant subjects
D. American High School Applicants
- Must have completed Grades 12 and 13
E. International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Minimum Grade 5 in relevant subjects
Note: All foreign qualifications must be evaluated by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.

F. N. Binka School of Public Health – Hohoe Campus
Programme:
- Bachelor of Public Health (BPH)
(Options: Disease Control, Health Information, Health Promotion, Nutrition)
Entry Requirements:
- Science Students: Core subjects + Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics
- Non-Science Students: Core subjects + electives in General Arts, Agric or Home Economics
School of Allied Health Sciences – Ho Campus
Programmes include:
- Dietetics
- Diagnostic Imaging (Radiography)
- Physiotherapy
- Orthotics & Prosthetics
- Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences
- Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science (6 years)
Key Requirement:
- Core subjects + relevant science electives (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Elective Maths)
Some programmes allow non-science applicants with strong Integrated Science (minimum B2)
School of Basic and Biomedical Sciences – Ho Campus
Programme:
- BSc Biochemistry & Molecular Biology
Requirement:
- Core subjects + Chemistry and Biology plus Physics or Elective Mathematics
School of Dentistry – Ho Campus
Programme:
- Bachelor of Dental Surgery (6 years)
Requirement:
- Core subjects + Chemistry, Biology, Physics or Elective Mathematics
Additional: Entrance exam + interview required
School of Medicine – Ho Campus
Programmes:
- MBChB (Medicine & Surgery – 6 years)
- Combined BSc/MSc Psychology
Requirement:
- Core subjects + science electives
Additional: Entrance exams and interview required
School of Nursing and Midwifery – Ho Campus
Programmes:
- Nursing
- Midwifery
- Public Health Nursing
- Health Services Administration
Requirement:
- Core subjects + electives from science, arts, business, or home economics
Additional: Entrance exam + interview
School of Pharmacy – Ho Campus
Programme:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D – 6 years)
Requirement:
- Core subjects + Chemistry, Biology + Physics or Elective Maths
Mature applicants: Must be 25+ with relevant HND
School of Sports and Exercise Medicine – Ho Campus
Programme:
- BSc Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences
Requirement:
- Core subjects + Biology and Physics + Chemistry or Elective Maths
