Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo has declared that he is yet to reach the peak of his footballing career following his high-profile move to Manchester City.
The former Bristol City attacker completed a transfer from AFC Bournemouth to the Premier League champions on Friday, January 9, in a deal reported to be worth £64 million.
Antoine’s switch to the Etihad Stadium caps a remarkable rise through the English football ranks, having overcome a challenging start to his professional career to establish himself as one of the league’s most exciting attacking talents.

His impressive form during the 2025/2026 Premier League season, where he scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 20 league appearances, played a key role in attracting the interest of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Speaking in his first interview as a Manchester City player, the Black Stars forward expressed confidence that his best performances are still ahead of him and believes he can make an immediate impact at his new club.
“My best football is yet to come, I am sure of that,” he told City’s official media team.
“City are in a great position, still competing in four competitions, and I really feel I can help the team have a strong second half of the season. I hope to show everyone what I can do.”

The move represents a major milestone in his career and further strengthens Ghana’s presence at the highest level of European football, with expectations high as he begins a new chapter under Guardiola’s guidance.
